Taoist Yoga is a practise of Chinese origin. We can imagine it like an antique method of stretching combined with breathing and meditation techniques with great benefits on the internal organs and their energetic flows.
Taoist Yoga is executed by single exercises practised seated, stretched out on the ground or erect, harmonising the body by its movements and the mind by breathing: the slowlier we breath, the slowlier we have to move.
According to seasons or illnesses the combination of movement and respiration varies: in wintertime or in case of chronic and deep pain/sickness we breathe out contracting, while in summertime or in inflammatory and acute pain/sicknesses we breathe out extending.
Included in the Taoist Yoga lesson is also the study of various techniques of meditation and of breathing (with the thoraces, diaphragm, perineum, abdomen). In the end we will be able to guide our breathed meditation in various parts of the body to cure it. Again at the end of the lesson we will do some massages and of course Taoist Yoga can be combined with Taoist Fitness and/or T’ai Chi Chuan.
