Ki Aikido is essentially the study of non-collision and is based on the use of the traditional aikido arts to redirect and harmonize with an opposing force through the use of non-aggressive and non-violent means.
Ki Aikido is neither a sport nor a competitive practice and is not personal defense, but rather a discipline that develops an inner security by increasing the natural power available through relaxation and self awareness.
The goal of Ki Aikido is not to damage or destroy one or more opponents, but to harmonize with their attacks and to neutralize their aggressive force in a way that does not allow them to hurt you and at the same time does not allow them to hurt themselves. In Ki Aikido, we start with the assumption that the mind guides the body and that, if we want to move the body, we must first move the mind. To move the mind of an opponent, it is essential to not be in conflict with their actions, thereby avoiding any physical or mental contrast.

Ki Aikido specializes is the development and unification of mind and body and recognizes that this unified state promotes confidence and cohesion in life, thereby enhancing all of our mental and physical capacities. Due to the universal nature of Ki Aikido, there are no age limits for participation, and many different people practice in our dojo, including handicapped persons, therapists, doctors, educators, musicians, dancers, children, adults, and elderly persons. Although Ki Aikido is not a physical therapy, it can be a valid help for those situations that disturb mind and body coordination or connectedness.
Kenko Do helps us to understand exactly what our body communicates when there is a problem. Practicing it regularly, we can have a better understanding of what our body needs.
Kenkodo included:
KOKYUHO (breathing method), KENKO TAISO (health exercise), TEATEHO (using life force from the hands), SOTAIHO (working with the body’s structure)
The numerous Ki Aikido classes are taught in mixed groups and at different levels and afternoon and evening sessions are available throughout the week. Some students also come from other parts of the world to train in Ki Aikido for a more concentrated period. For children 6 years and under we have a class called “play with Ki,” and for 7 years and older, a special Ki Aikido class. In the morning, we also have a special class for elderly persons.
Many local, national and international seminars are held at the dojo.
