Capoeira

Capoeira is the intersection of different cultures and martial play African, Amerindian and European. Born in Brazil in colonial times, was the liberation struggle of the slaves, then popular practice martial and playful and is now known throughout the world.

Today is a fun and practical martial known throughout the world, characterized by expressive elements such as music and harmony of movement and are therefore often mistaken for a dance.

Capoeira develops the individual talents, teaches self-esteem
and respect, develop motor coordination, increased reflexes, flexibility, sense of rhythm and harmony.

Paahppi was born in Salvador Bahia (Brasil) in 1990 began to practice capoeira under the guidance of Mestre Valdir Axè, Group Capoeira Angola Palmares, in the Boca do Rio neighborhood. Two years later, in 1992, with the approval of Mestre Nô, began teaching alongside their professor.

In 1994, his first independent course: for one year and a half taught in the gymnasium of a prestigious residential condominium in Pituba, also in El Salvador.
At the same time he joined the folk group show
Moenda the restaurant, also in Boca do Rio.

From 1999 to 2001 shows the interior of Brazil, Vitoria da Conquista. From this time gets a special knowledge of the history of capoeira "das Gas" or the past. It is within the State which are rooted the earlier traditions of capoeira, because it is inside that extended the possessions
of large landowners.

He returned to El Salvador in 2001, invited by Mestre Valdir Axè, to London where he works teaching capoeira for a full year.

Al termine di questo periodo all’estero, Paahppi fa ritorno in Brasile, Since 1994 he teaches in Salvador, Vitoria da Conquista, London and Rio de Janeiro, until December 2004 when he returned to Europe.
Today he teaches at various locations in Florence and Tuscany.
